The bird & the man...

"人为财死,鸟为食亡"
(man can died for $, while bird for its food)

A chinese quote that describes the greedy behavior as the basic instinct of the living creatures. It was commonly applied as an excuse for those ppl seeking new opportunity in their career. No doubt, money is nothing for some but is everything in reality. Ppl cannot survive without $. You eat, you have to pay. You dump, you have to pay. Even if you speak with others, you have to pay too... luckily our wireless telco bisness not yet monopoly by the government, else we might need to pay more for it. This was the quote that randomly appears in my mind since last few weeks...

"良禽择木而栖,贤臣择主而侍"
(Good bird will select its wood to rest, great man will choose his lord to serve)

I recently learnt this phrase from the assistant of Anwar on his SW interview (although i heard the phrase quite often from TVB series). The editor asked this guy (forgot the name) why he want to follow Anwar even he was sack from the DPM. His answer was simply "良禽择木而栖"(what a present surprise... this malay guy knew the meaning of the quote better than i do..paiseh la). Beside $, there actually have others elements that can spice up your life and drive you to the peak of the mountain. Well, choose a great "Dai Jiong" to serve should be more meaningful than being the servant of $$.... what do you think?
